MATHIEU BAILLOT
Whether he is at the service of musical creation for images, fiction, documentaries, theater, alongside major players in contemporary art (Sophie Calle, Xavier Veilhan, Pierre Huyghe) or behind the scenes of a haute couture house, composer Mathieu Baillot enjoys exploring all the flavors of an imaginary original soundtrack dressing the scenes of a feature film never before shot. His unique musical universe is tinged with strangeness, dark sweetness, modern nostalgia and melancholy.
He has been seen on stage as a duo alongside successively Mélanie Thierry, Marianne Denicourt, Julie Depardieu, the writer Arnaud Cathrine and Ludivine Sagnier during the creation of musical readings, a sort of live soundtrack creation around the reading of a novel during several literary festivals.
We also found him at the Perrotin gallery on the album "Souris Calle" initiated by the artist Sophie Calle (Souris Calle) in duet with Mazarine Pingeot and at the cinema, where he composed the soundtrack of the film "Dune Dreams" directed by Samuel Doux with Benoit Magimel.
He collaborated with director Frédéric Guelaff for the soundtrack of the critically acclaimed documentary "La traversée", a sort of journey through a large restaurant over five years, "Le pavillon Ledoyen."
He is currently preparing a personal album, “Comédie française”, and has numerous orders for luxury brands.
